Hi, robertc,
Can't say I have but having tested the LG, I would make an assumption that it would be the 'same'.. ie spins at high speed but audio out (digital) is good, unless I can 'borrow' one for testing.. ![]() A friend recommends an AOPEN (CDROM) instead.. Currently the Imation CDRW unit that I am using was NOT used due to 'write errors' after 1 year of usage. I have not check the price of the AOPEN but I guess it would be similar to the Samsung, probably in the region of RM40-RM50.. Will check it out this weekend. Compared to the Sony DVP-7000 that I am using as my main transport, the sound is almost 'identical' except that the Sony is a little 'warmer' in characteristics and more body to the low/mid bass.. For serious late night listening I would use the Sony and for normal day to day use, the Imation is simply excellent. Quote:

Did you get pics of the LCD ones? I saw a blue character LCD when I was browsing some displays and kind of liked it haha.... I imagine mine has shipped already? Was kind of curious what the LCD one looked like though.
