Talking Finaly - Custom Enclosures

Hi 2 All !

Like a most of guys here, i like to build something by my self - but, i dont have too much tools, and too much electronic knowledge! I buy most of parts on eBay, mostly from China [i know is risky but for now i was lucky] ...

Also, i dont want to spent too much money on some DIY fun, if i can get finished product cheaper, but - sometimes you have to buy satisfaction you build something by your own ...

What i learn is - you can build everything but nice electronic enclosure [if you dont have uncle who own CNC shop], speacialy if you like those fancy aluminum anodized faceplates etc ...

Anyway, i build nice set of Fostex Full Range Horn speakers !

I am more then satisfied with results, i build cabinets for 2 months while i was on Florida, with one jigsaw, handy sender and couple more small tools [yes can be done that way - i did it] ...

... and i have good deal on Dared MP5 Xybrid Amplifiers [got 4 of them] ...
[there was good discount in PX shop in military base abroad where i am deployed]

Now, i need to put this in nice enclosure !

I search internet, auctions, forums, etc. for some time, and i dont have any luck ... Those are simple too expensive or - not good enough - yes i like to build good looking stuff too ...

Finaly, i found what i want, and i think is good compromise .. exelent quality, look, construction, and not too expensive ...

from company Click the image to open in full size. on web site http://www.modushop.biz !

They have lot of diferent models, diferent sizes, and accessories for every kind of electronic project ... only thing i dont like is - custom faceplate machining is too expensive for my taste, and i am still in searching for good solution for faceplate lettering ...

O ordered enclosure on december 22nd, and company was already closed for Hollydays! They start working agaib today, and i expect ro have shipment in fiew days!

Will post photos and first impression as soon as i got it ...

i hope some of you guys will find this info usefull !

Regards !

Time to Time you can get them on eBay cheapo, and those are great - 96 db, 5k to 50k etc ... back in time made by Fostex for RS, and i also build custom cabinets for them too ...
