Introducing the New NX150 Synergy From Aussie Amplifiers.

This version of the NX150, dubbed the NX150 Synergy, has been designed in collaboration with Kendrick Pavey of www.esteemaudio.com from Melbourne, Australia. The amplifier has undergone a number of critical listening auditions with Melbourne audiophiles, to bring out the very best this topology can offer.

The result is an amplifier that not only demonstrates very high objective performance specifications, but also the NX150 Synergy excels in the subjective attributes that audiophiles crave.

Key highlights of this revision include, but are not limited to:
Redesigned low noise Constant Current Sources on Input Stage
Highly Refined Component selection in critical signal path areas
Improved power supply decoupling
Improved PCB layout for Lower Noise and Distortion
High end Auricap coupling capacitors used
3 Ounce Double Sided PTH PCB
Improved connectivity to PCB using quick connect spades.

Nice job!!

(The purpose of a three channel amp is ?? ... Left, right and woof ??)

I have a pair of Anthony's (regular) AussieAmplifier.com NX-150 modules and can attest to the very nice design and superb audio quality .... seamless performance, plenty of guts through out all frequencies, almost tube like in performance at clipping ... :D

Yes, a nice chassis ... and a quite reasonable layout.

Wondering also: What are the basic differences between your NX-150 and this newer, Synergy design?

Efficiencies? ... distortion? ... and is it "plug compatible" with the previous design?

:smash:

(Of passing interest: the Taliban have been hitting and hacking the DNS servers and international fiber trunk repeaters, playing havoc with much of the Australian streaming radio/TV to North America ... ...)

Hi Ed

The Synergy range has these changes and improvements

Redesigned low noise Constant Current Sources on Input Stage
Highly Refined Component selection in critical signal path areas
Improved power supply decoupling
Improved PCB layout for Lower Noise and Distortion
High end Auricap coupling capacitors used
3 Ounce Double Sided PTH PCB
Improved connectivity to PCB using quick connect spades

The sound quality difference is striking compared to the NX150 version One.

The Synergy soundstage is deeper, more detailed....

and yes the Synergy is a plug in replacement for the version One
