New FIFO buffer for RPI/SBCs

Hi, I’m considering to buy the Kali to feed an i2s signal to a tda1543-based diy dac. Will this only be possible with the 22/24mhz version or can I also go with the 44/48mhz one? Can someone explain why? I’d like the kali to also be future-proof, in case I decide to also use it with other higher resolution DAC chips later. Also the 22/24mhz one is currently not in stock.
Thanks,
Denis
