Used conductor is high quality power control copper cable. Construction is 3 x 12 AWG per phase and null. Shield is grounded for better protection of EMI/RFI and low frequencies. Copper wire of a certain gauge is the same worldwide. The best speaker cables I have ever used for a home installation is 6.0mm standard household wiring cable. It is cheap to buy and works extremely well.
Commercial PA systems run best on multi-core 6mm cables.
