First One - mosFET amplifier module

If the FO has an input sensitivity of 1,5V (which would be low but well) and your source a 3V output then a pre with no gain will be more than enough to drive the FO to max level.

FO M voltage gain is 27.5dB = 23.71 times input voltage

1.5 x 23.71 = 35.56

35.56V into 8 Ohm load gives 158 W and the FO M is rated 160 W at 8 ohms.

If you reverse the calculation to get 160 W needs 1.5089V.

Easier to say 1.5V :)

What makes you think that?

Well, it's easy to understand, when you have lack of communication with someone, let alone fixing the problem, you don't want that kind of trouble in the future. And I just want to buy something and asked a question, didn't expect service or something.
Maybe he doesn't check his diyaudio account regularly so at least it should be an email available

Have you tried on facebook? https://www.facebook.com/first.one.amp/

Hi guys :wave2:

Lots of work lately, new FO module's front-end in R&D, as you all can see from THD plot in post #3914 this will position FO modules to pole position on the market.

Also new FO components launched to the market, FO music server, preamp DAC and power amp gain worldwide availability in autumn this year, online sales orders only.

Have all nice summer holidays. :)

Hi LC,

Nice to read you again :)

Re "Preamp DAC", can you tell us more?

Is this just a DAC or also ADC? Does it have an RIAA or at least analog input?

Will that be available as a kit as the M modules and what price range are you targeting?

Many thanks for all your development work for the community, sounds great already!

Claude

No, before in the past LC was kind and generous enough to share his schematics to our community. The amps was called SSA with many variations. It was a good times, but they are gone now.
If someone would like to copy he (she) could do this even without schematic, with a help of RE.
As for me such nice products unfortunately aren't available for DIYers, only for capable buyers.

You stand correct: I was refering to the FO line, but indeed lot of discussions and sharing back in SSA times.

OK, FO comes as a ready to go module, so DIY is plugging and PS, but that's the way forward for the top range: today a DIYer can't beat modern multi-layer / ultra compact layout / SMD builds...

Still very interested in LC's work and probably one of the best offers around, let's see what comes next :)
