It is the same from the very beginning and that is 38,00 EUR for:

- ALF08NP16V5 (1 pcs.)
- KSA1381 (1 pcs.), KSC3503 (1 pcs.)
- BC550C (1 pcs.), BC560C (1 pcs.)
- kapton insulator washer (1 pcs.), polyamide spacer (2 pcs.)

Regards L.C.

In a few VSSA amps already made by me, the best results came out of tuned-up SMPS400A180 from Hypex. All capacitors changed to Panasonic FR, mains smoothing caps also enlarged to 2 x 1500 uF/200 V, NTC shorted with Shrack 16 A relay after 2,5 s from turn ON. Explore in SMPS world. ;)

Lower PSU voltage will bring less output power, less idle power dissipation, also input pair Vce is lower, meaning higher Cbc and little recessive transient response. ;)

Always dual mono configuration, one SMPS400A180 per one VSSA amp channel.
Hi Andrej
Your final build of stereo amp is very very nice.
Do you have advice, i am sitting here with two times recommended Hypex ready for VSSA and preparing test setup. When i see your nice symetrical wiring, i think it looks perfect, but have 2 quistion anyhow.
First the Pos/Neg rails could have shorter leads (less z) if rail-connection hypex side face against VSSA, is this shorter leads better or does'nt matter.
Second manual of hypex does'nt mention anything about radiation noise fields around the unit, is it allowed to be close to anything without pollution.
I wish you best luck and practice for final paperwork/shipping for all that units. :c_flag: :D
Regards Ricky

Hi BYRTT

I think that modules arrangement in a case is optimal. EMI is undetectable in the VSSA output signal. Lenght of the supply wires is not an issue, first modules layout according to dissipation/EMI rules, wiring in secondary plan.

SMPS400 causes very low EMI field around, probably less influence/interferences than few hundred VA classic transformer. Never noticed any EMI related issue to VSSA.

Thanks for a good wishes. Regards L.C.
