Since Classé are not DIY and Hexateq don't care for selling their cases to the DIY community that much, I'm guessing these cases will be very popular.

Hi,

Have you ever tried contacting us for an enclosure? We have quite a few diy customers who are more than happy with our enclosures which are our own development. We care an awful lot about our customers.

I don't think our enclosures look like Classe ones. They have much larger corners, don't have the same style of corner design and don't have the short/long corner extrusion and the top to side panel detail.

The Minisemi enclosure looks very......very similar to ours. Even the 120mm height is the same as does the seem between the corner piece and side panels...

Anyone wanting a real Hexateq enclosure should get in touch with us. Mention the code "Minisemi" and we'll give you 15% off the total price. You can reach us at info@hexateq.com

Best regards,

Richard Krol

Eh?

I think it's all well and good for you to respond to TheShaman's post about not selling to DIYers, but to then take advantage of that to try and sell your own chassis in Minisemi's thread?

That's rather sleazy in my opinion.

Hello gentlemen, there is room here for the both of you. In a twisted way it enlightens me to see the jousting.

I can honestly say that the Hexateq chassis I purchased from Mr. Krol was the best amp enclosure I ever had ordered. An excellent value. You want an amp to look like a piece of fine jewelry, that this is the chassis for you. It was beautiful. I reluctantly sold that amp (UCD400) and it depresses me that I let that chassis go with the sale. Only reason was I had the Class A bug and needed some major heat sinking for my next amp.

I am toying with Class D again, and considering buying another Hex chassis.

If Minisemi has the design and quality of the Hex, I would consider purchasing from them. A little competition never hurts...With the USD being much lower than it was when I last made my Hex purchase, I must prepare myself for sticker shock either way...although the Hex price quote in previous post was quite doable if it included shipping...I don't know if it was the same chassis I had...

I will order...soon. A matching Class D amp/Preamp is envisioned. Just gotta hide the checkbook from the wife.

Fair play, good luck establishing your business. Let's just say that a bit of competition does no harm and keeps us all sharp and eager to come up with the best products. I'll refrain from commenting in this topic from now on.

All the best wishes for 2010!

Prototyping is almost finish,i have 2 official measurement for production:

Height:120mm(4.73) by 140mm(5.51) by 240mm(9.45)

and

Height:120mm(4.73) by 240mm(9.45) by 240mm(9.45)

All dimension was taken inside of the enclosure.

Many thanks;)

U know you have money when you can afford a HUNK of solid aluminum :)

PS%208.JPG

125 USD for the aluminum (4 X 6 X 24).

I think prices have gone up since 2007 but industrialmetalsales.com is still pretty reasonable.

yeah but shipping would kill, and the machine work would be even more LOL! I bet you had a friend or access to a cnc & lay-th ?

Your chassis look good, the ones from minisemi, are going to be small :(
