Cool. My plan is to make a opus DAC with a balanced tube output. I'll mount the circuit boards onto bamboo or on a slab of Metal (no case)

I just did a little house cleaning, removing some posts that were only tangentially related to the Opus. Please, if you want to discuss generic DAC concepts, start a thread in the Digital section of the forum. If you want to discuss the Opus, please, post here.

I'm holding out on buying Opus boards for a dual-mono balanced build. I'll go ahead and second the question about the updated design. Any news in the past few months?

If I want to have one with an SPDIF input and a usb-I2s input what is the correct way to implement this? I can see that doing one or the other is pretty easy but am trying to come up with a good way for multiple inputs. Would the 4 input board from the Buffalo3 work along with a sidecar?

Use an OTTO-II to switch between the two I2S sources.
