Old Placid 2.0.1 for Buffalo IIISE @ 440mA

Did a search and could not find much info...

Can I use my old Placid 2.0.1 (pre HD) to get the required 440mA for the Buffalo III and tridents? I thought I remembered new Buff 3 owners having trouble with the then existing Placids.

The old 2.0 placid manual gives 350mA as the example goal but I cannot find the overall current limit of the kit. Apart from proper sinking what parts need changing if any?

I also have a new placid HD kit here for any uprated parts needed but it would be sweet to use the smaller footprint version, plus it's nice to get it used at last!
