Voltage Out from Buffalo III SE

Hello,

I'm thinking of adding a Buffalo III SE board to my tube preamp so that I can also use it as a tube output DAC. If I use the voltage out from the DAC directly, what would be the nominal voltage out of the DAC board with a typical CD player digital input? Would it be more, less or the same as standard CD max output (2V)?

Any help is greatly appreciated - this will help me determine how best to integrate the DAC and have approximately the same volume levels as the other preamp inputs.

OK, in searching around on the web I found a reference that states the voltage output for the ES9018 is about 1Vrms single-ended. FYI in case others have the same question.

With AVCC regulator the output should be 3.234V peak-to-peak with "zero" at 1.75V.

OK, so that's about 1.14Vrms, which is close to the "about 1V" I found elsewhere. That's actually perfect for my application.

Too bad about the DC offset, I'd rather go capless to the grid. Oh well, can't have everything...
