You can't install them wrong. They work the same either way as they are 1:1 transformers. Still I think Brian will be posting pictures soon.

On the test rig...

The forth transformer position is jumpered because I was testing different input types (AES/EBU, consumer S/PDIF, TOSLINK module in consumer mode, TOSLINK in TTL mode). TTL worked fine with or without the transformer, though I would probably opt to not use it.

EDIT: Also, note the direct mounting. I now include a female header to mate to the male header on the Buffalo, securing it with standoffs.

Male / Female standoffs work much better. Lucky for me, I have some left over from another project.
