How to improve my buffalo!

hi evryone
I have the following boards:
Buffalo II Legato
LCDPS
LCBPS
Trident Regulators
There are PRP resistors and Black Gate output capacitors in the Legato.

I want to get the best out of my buffalo. Should I look at better outputs like the legato 3? What else could I "update"...

Placid's HD and Bipolar would be an improvement. At least the Bipolar for Legato.

Trident V3 and the new AVCC also are improvements.

why do you say at least? does that mean that for sure, the bipolar would be a update, while getting the placid HD's could be unnecessary?

I think everything mentioned is valid, and I would also consider what you are feeding the DAC with - i2s can offer a great deal of improvement over S/Pdif, so USB->I2S modules, or modifying a CD player to output i2s using TPA's Teleporters or something along those lines is worth thinking about.

It depends on the LCDPS version you have. The one I had didnt delivered enough current to feed Buf3+sidecar+4input board. I could go for the advised resistor tweak but, i feel HD is more stable and flexible.
