Soon. Work was pretty busy the last two weeks.
I need to devise/build a test rig for the production units and get the first batch built. I hope to get all that done this week.

Today I modified the Musiland Monitor 03 USB Interface, tapping I2S lines - and feeding a Buffalo-III. For it's price this USB sound device is a steal !
In my setup it works flawlessly playing up to 32bit/192kHz sampling rate over ASIO (player: J.River Media Center) and the sound is very good. (Compared to: Professional RME HDSP 9632 Soundcard with SPDIF output to Buffalo) For those interested, I followed this instructions: USB AUDIO H i F i D U I N O Only drawback at the moment is that noise from my PC and connected HDMI Switch-box and LCD-TV get's through ground wire into the DAC and Speakers ! The noise is barely audible at a distance of more than 1 Meter from the Air Motion Transformer tweeters - but it is there. The SPDIF input/switching module of Twisted Pear has the benefit of galvanic isolation. So I don't have noise using SPDIF input. For I2S I am looking forward to your galvanic isolated LVDS I2S transport to eliminate the noisy ground connection ! |

I have no idea all the ways that the inside of a PC case is 'noisy', but would the isolation offered by these transceivers be sufficient if one wanted to tap PCM from a basic PC sound card? ...like tapping into the Denon DVD players...
Frank BTW, I have a Denon DVD-1930Ci available - PM me if you'd like it at my cost... |

Test rig is done, and I have started building them. I should be able to get a few for sale in the next couple days.

I have a Denon DVD-2910 that I will try to use as a transporter for SACD to a Buffalo III dac, so this sounds very interesting.
btw, Does any one have a service manual for a DVD-2910? --Per |
