It is a WM8805 implementation with 4:1 SPDIF/AES in and I2S out by default. I am developing adaptive firmware to enable locking of both 192khz and 176.4khz signals (can't be done in hardware mode).

Yes
Will there there be a switch like the previous version to switch the inputs?

It will use the same switch and method as the old MUX (2-bit channel selection), but also allow I2C control.
