If you place J1-J12, all left and right outputs will get combined. If you don't plan on using a TPA I/V stage, you can use any output you like. But it would be wise to use both sides, as obviously you don't get stereo sound when you skip a side.

Page 19 and 29. Really, you should read all of the guide if you're looking for details like this. And ctrl+f commonly lets you find words in the text.

Finally finished: my BIII DAC "roadmap." Does anybody see any glaring issues?
Also... will the Placid HD be able to power everything that is connected to it, or will I need two?

Also, what is the required difference for preparing an IVY III for stereo or 8-channel output? I read the IVY III guide but there is no mention of what needs to change.

There is a new version of the IVY-III manual which will be up soon which covers that.

Currently that information is also on Page 25 of the integration guide. As is just about any bit of info you might need.

What is the current draw of the BIII with Tridents? Couldn't find this information.

Also, what is the current draw for the S/PDIF switcher?

I'm trying to pick a suitable transformer to power this stuff plus a little more (HiFiDuino).
