i use a legato for without the buffer for a while.

comparing it with the buffalo 32s the bass is tighter for the 32s but at everything else i prered the legato.

i read somewhere that the output impedance at legato is 150 ohm but with the buffer is less than 1 ohm.

my amps input is 100k balanced.

if i add the buffer will i have tighter bass?

any other mod to make the bass a little tighter?

p.s. it`s the legato version 1

With 100k load you would not really get much difference at low frequencies.

What you are observing could be in part to the AC coupling of the Legato.

Cheers!
Russ

thanks russ.

i thought the same but i wonder if there will be a small difference or no difference at all.

i use it dc coupled since my amp have input caps and there is no need to have two caps at the signal path.

i wonder if the bigger output of 32s have something to do with it.

what kind of resistors would bring legato close to the 32s?
