BII with TentXO3 and CDPRO2 don't lock

hi guys,
I've a problem with my BII; it don't lock. The MUTE led is on and the LOCK one is off. I take the SPDIF from the Tent XO3 + CDPRO2. I read that BII lock only the frequencies of 256fc and higher. Do I've to put an ASRC between the XO3 and
the BII?

best

If you are referring to I2S (not SPDIF), then apparently CDPRO outputs at 48fs (the bitclock) and BII expects 64 fs in the bitclock. Then you will need Metronome to change from 48fs to 64 fs.

I am a bit confused here... I am not sure what you are taking for output either. The DAC and the clock don't really interest me, only the format of the data you are sending.

I' m talking about SPDIF not I2S, this is my set up:
-the PS is the Placid at 5.5V and 350mA
-all the voltages on the BII are correct, the leds are on
-the SPDIF switch is closed ( checked with tester), and the signals are connected to SPDIF
and GND terminal inputs
- all four the dip switches are in the ON position
-the BII sink only 260mA and not 290mA
-before the BII , my dac was the RAKK DAC II and everything worked fine
- I made a mistake when I powered the BII. I used a variac, and for a moment (less then
a second)the Placid out voltage was 5.8V. Can this damaged the dac?
Can you help me? I' m going crazy, cause I don't understating what goes wrong.
thanks

Can you try a different source?

yes, I'll try with PC.I get an USB to SPDIF converter from Hagerman

Yes, it can damage the AVCC module.

I tried to connect the SPDIF of California Audio Labs Delta, and FINALLY the BII lock! Not only it lock, but the MUTE led is always off. I tried to reconnect it to XO3 but the problem
come back: MUTE on and LOCK off.

Ok, then as much as you might not like to hear this the problem is not with the Buffalo II.

You need to be sure that the SPDIF from your XO3 is clean standard consumer level SPDIF.

Your best chance to get support about the XO3 is to query its creator. I will not support it.

For now I would simply use your other source.

thanks . I contacted Tentlabs yet.
