Buffalo II module does not power up

Yes the board gets very hot between the regulator which reads a short (one near the cap 18) and the corner of the sabre dac closest to this reg.I took out the avcc module and powered it independently with another 5v power supply .Both leds light up and deliver 3.3v at the output pins.
Brian has offered to look at the buffalo board for me which is great service
