Balanced signals have a 'hot' and a 'cold'. Each needs to be switched and attenuated individually, hence the dual boards for JT and Darwin when running balanced. The TXD is a balanced in-balanced out amplifier. I'd put them on the output, perhaps configured for some gain, depending on your sources and power amps.
You can run single ended inputs into a TXD by connecting the 'cold' or negative input to 0v. The output will be converted to balanced. This is how I used to run mine, but I never got around to the balanced JT and Darwin which remain in a box, a Buffalo now does everything. Such is progress.
