Russ isn't the AVCC module: I powered the BII with two lifepo batteries of 3.3V & The BII still does glitches/dropouts.

Just a quick follow up to my dropout questions of a few weeks ago. Please recall that I was experiencing dropouts on the order of 1/minute when using the USB receiver/DAC to feed my BII over I2S.

Last weekend I switched over to S/PDIF on the USB receiver and BII and as expected, no dropouts. I have not done enough listening to have an opinion of the SQ difference. Would anyone like to offer their observations wrt the BII and a feed from I2S vs S/PDIF?

If you have an LED not lighting on the AVCC module something is very definitely wrong.

hmm, thats not good. That may be why you AVCC module LED is not lighting.

It sounds like the DAC analog section has been damaged.

Either that or your output stage has extreme differential on the inputs.
