New 300B single end

I can listen the sonic features for both Mcap and Jensen capacitors within this 300B amplifier.

We selected Erse 100µF 100v 10% D.F. non-polarized electrolytic capacitors as cathode capacitors for 300B because the sound of Erse electrolytic caps is natural.

The cathode resistors for 300Bs used are Dale 50W 1K ohms (next to Erse cap).

Oh-yeah! A 50W resistor, it shouldn't cause any problems, it want neither get warm nor worn... . I measure all cap's I use, whom will carry AF, takes a bit longer to get started, but you'll get it "back" when you're finished the amplifier. 5% tolerance, is very nice for a non-polarized electrolytic cap... And with the 1k resistor the roll off frequency is 1.6Hz.... But I've never used Erse cap, I've spent loads of money on styroflex/polyporpylen(<-- in Swedish), MKP Mundorf MCap, about €40 for a 100µ/100V, typical +/-1.5%. So I'm gonna checkout and try the Erse Cap, since it's much cheaper, and if it sound okay too, then, bye, bye Mcap... Although I will keep using them(Mcap) in passive filter designs, for speakers, I've tried nearly hundred different brands, but none, has ever come close to Mundorf's Mcap's.

MKP Mundorf MCap, about €40 for a 100µ/100V, typical +/-1.5%? You can try Mcap Ecap Elko bipolar cap for 100uF/100VDC. They are not too expensive. The prices of Erse capacitors are low and are worthy to try.

These are two stages filtering for power supply, Japanese Matsushita 33uF/450V and Nippon Chemicon 180uF/450V electrolytic capacitors.

Further information. The wires for connection of audio section are Neotech AWG22 UPOCC copper hook-up wires. Neotech is a famous cable manufacturer for audio in Taiwan. UPOCC copper is made by Neotech.

The quality of solder is very important to build tube amplifier. We selected Mundorf M-solder silver/gold solder this time.

Japanese Noble power switch, Alps 100K carbon film volume potentiometers and UK RS silver plated selector were used in the 300B amp.

The 300B amplifier is playing at the uses's home. He uses ipod with DAC as signal source. Nice sound.

Twin Audio 300B tube amp and German Octave V70.

The loudspeaker is ELAC 210CE. Twin Audio 300B can handle 210CE very well.
