Default Damper diodes, 6ax4 and or 6w4?

Any issues using a pair of these for full wave rectification?

Also can't find any statements to max cap input, I need to
run cap input as I need the voltage, was considering 40uf?

I know up to 50uF would be OK with 6D22S, from information provided by its maker, Svetlana. The max capacitance for the 1st cap is generally not mentioned in data sheets for other dampers, since they weren't designed for normal rectifier use and the info, not being needed, wasn't given.

Hi

I've just had a look, duncans psu designer has these models as standard, have a play.

If you don;t know what this is, go to www.duncanamps.com and get the PSU designer and download.

Thanks guy's, I use the psu designer but it does not give first cap tolerences.

I was assuming the same as you Ray, and 40 should be safe I think.

All that any diode knows or cares about is current. The input capacitor guidelines were there for rectifier tubes only because we didn't always have PSUD. Now we do, so we can sim the supply and plot the current through the diode to be sure that it never goes over the peak rating (1A for the 6AX4.)
