Hi all!
I've built my tube amp based on schematic of AN Conquest. Yesterday I made a modification suggested by a friend. I removed C and R form the first cathode of 6SN7 and put there a 2,4V battery I was a little afraid but everything's o.k. amp didn't blow but I consider if it is safe fo amplifier? what with charging this NiCd battery? will it be charge by current (about 5mA)? |

Thaaaaat's fine! I like batteries and leds. 5mA is a charging current that a 300mah battery can easily handle so it should be fine there.

Pawcio,
This battery maybe give you a little too high bias. Try to found 1.2V single cell NiCad.
