I've just switched out my EH EL34s in my PP integrated amp and replaced them with some Svetlanas. The sound is much nicer IMHO, but if left silent, there is a very light occasional crackling sound from the speakers that wasn't there with the EH valves.
Is it anything I should worry about? It doesn't disturb me in any way as it's way below the sound floor and is utterly impossible to hear once playing something... Just wanting to know if I'm about to kill my amp is all... |
