hi all,
this is my recently Home work. Since when I heard my dream amp in My friend's home was very very impressed for it sound. I was so so so poor that cannot afford it's price but it really a very good amp. Kondo's signature sound stage was very musical, detail with moisture & air. so..... I decide to build my poor man Ongaku 211 tube amp. Hope I can pass basic standard!!!! The protype of the top plate was approx funish, after funish I will anode oxidized first, copper plate will try later. Since my friend had real Kondo series tube amp. I can compare with them after I funish. I hope use cheaper price can provide little similar Kondo's signature sound shadow. thx thomas

Kondo San himself explained many times that his amplifier would not be any special if not built as it is built. I.e. proprietary to his materials.
On the other hand I guess you are about to show us how much percentage of it is circuit and how much original material. I wish you good tone. Keep us posted. |

hi salas,
since I love Kondo tube amp mch but its really very expensive. I was OEMer of japan audio transformers. I can directly input 4N & 5N polyurthane silver wire & tantalum resistors from Japan. sure some of the parts I still cannot get such as the coupling cap of the amp because it was tailor made by audionote japan himself. take a look of the tailor made ( hand made cap ) of kondo amp. I only hope to use cheaper price ( because of my material price ) can maintain in cheap price. No other!!!! this will be a silly experience. thx thomas
