I have a fisher 800c reciever and since the day I got it it has had a hum in the phono and tape hd circuit. It is only in one channel, and does not show up in the Auxilary or radio functions. Which tells me that it is probably not the power supply or it would be across the board??? Help Help Help. Capacitor, bad ground??

I suspect bad grounding in the first place if the hum occurs only whith connected sources. Check for bad solderings at the input connectors. /Hugo |

Isn't the 800c a tube receiver? Let us know and I'll move your topic to the tubes forum.
