Default THAT'S GREAT.

Hi,

Glad to see it arrived O.K.

That's a 300B amp.

Want to restore the lot?

Does the iron look alright?
Nothing has shifted beyond repair?

Cheers,

Frank,

The second socket is octal.
But the first is a twist lock of some kind. Surely it's not a UX4?

What'ya think?

Cheers,

Default he,he...

Hi John,

Socket one is a Chinese UX4,socket two is an octal.

Other things give it away too,but I'll leave a bone to chew on.

Cheers,

(Images have to be kinda small.)
The metal has done some shifting for sure. The only thing that might be a problem is output transformer plates might have separated a bit near the mount.
I still don't have a decent cam . So I do what I can with a vid cam a childs digital cam and my trusty old scanner.
This is the bottom of what is left of the mid size tube.

Yes I want to retore it. So heavy I won't be shipping it anywhere .
It will go great with the fir flooring.

Ux7 ? I think those are the big lovely ones.
Frank you say 300b . I think you know your stuff.
I wrote to a guy who owned a kailin EL84 push pull,it never came with a schematic and ran very hot. He mentioned that Kailin also made KT88/6550 amps as well . He never was able to track down the actual manufacturer either. Anyway back to the facts there are a ton of new tubes for sale on ebay . Other components as well .

I need to replace one of these.
