Default Russian tube dealer?

Can anyone suggest a reputable Russian tube dealer?

I'm looking for a wholesaler, preferably in Russia (or eastern Europe), who can locate / get types other than the "standard" audio stuff in moderate quantities (~hundreds)?

We're running out of even the odd stuff here in the US!

Thanks!

Pete

How about www.tubes.ru ? (They were previously known as Technical Center Navigator.)

I haven't purchased anything from them, however when I was in still in business (ages ago) I did exchange some email with them, and they did seem like straight shooters at the time.

Note I have no affiliation with them whatsoever, and YMMV...

A comment about Russian businessmen...

Hi EC8010,
I'm not sure exactly where that reference originally came from, but probably the Wild West.. (Seems oddly appropriate.) On reflection I'm a New Englander and not particularly fond of guns, so it is a particularly strange reference for me to cite..

What about old Gintaras? He's slow as a snail and the "reply" button is missing on his email program, but I understand he is honest. KWTubes or something he DBA's under.

I have these places among my bookmarks:

GLOBEX

KW Tubes But he's only selling through eBay.

STC Navigator (Have been around for many years)

GS Tube

Odd Russain tubes can also be found here:

IGA Bilbao (Spain)

Röhrentechni (Germany) (He is reliable!)

Conus Audio (Canada)

Some info on Russian tubes/amps can be found here:

Iggdrasil

Next Tube

PS. I am always using either the Russian names for tubes (sjest en sjest pe) or transcript the cyrillic letters to latin (6N6P) as these are the names and expressions that gives me the correct tube when asking my brother-in-law to fix some goodies for me. In this case to get an equvalent to an E182CC.
Using a"Latin-Russian" 6H13C; "six - aitch - therteen -see" makes no sense as it actually is a 6N13S (or 6AS7G)

Hi Geek,

Ordered some caps from Gintaras a while back now. Nothing received and no response from his email.

Is he reliable but just slow to send/answer?

cheers

Chris

Hi Chris,

He's reliable. No one I know that dealt with him had a complaint.... other than slow.

Cheers!
