Default Does anyone recognise this tube amp?

Hello all,

I've just had a rather accidental introduction to the world of tube audio via eBay. I set up a snipe, thought I'd cancelled it, but instead had cancelled another thing I wanted:

My new amplifier

Does anyone recognise this piece of equipment and know what it is?

Many thanks,

theskintman

Looks nice. Good deal

The constuction looks sound.

Suggested first mod: ditch the "magic eye" indicator tubes.

I was wondering about those - from what I can tell, this unit is pretty much the same as a Cayin TA-30 but with a less attractive shell, a bit more weight, and those 'magic eye' valves.

What purpose do they serve?

The magic eye/magic star tubes ar frequently used as a crude level output instument.
Usually no impact on sound quality but some like the visual display.

Yer programs can't out-snipe me. I do it live, and put my bid in, in the last 30 seconds. Don't need no stinking snipe programs.

And no, I don't recognize the amp. Looks nice, though.
