I have a Sonic Frontiers Line 1 that I have been quite happy with. But the stock Sovteks seemed to lack a liitle bass weight, so I called SF and they recommended Valvos, which they burned in, tested and sent to be. The Valvos are more dynamic, with better bass, but sibilants are exagerated and harsh. Any suggestions?

You are trying to find a valve to suit a given circuit in your system. I am not denying that valves of differing manufacture, tend to have tonal charcteristics of their own. The circuit designer should know best.
Sorry, I am not familiar with your model and so I cannot comment. Mohan |
