Starting with a 150 VAC supply you won't get 220 VDC IMO.

200VDC after the choke at best I'd say?

It's still wrong. With 160V in, and a choke in series, there is no way you're going to get 210V.

Probably around 150V or even less would be more realistic.

Even when disregarding the choke you would at best get 220 VDC at the output.

Add the choke and the load to the equation and you'll see the PSU voltage drop.

Even the best make mistakes (I may be one of them )

OK, try a SET 6B4 (2a3 with 6V filament) and assume some access to scavenged/used stuff...

(Prices from triodeelectronics.com and others)

2x sovtek 6B4G $59.95
2x sovtek 6SN7 $19.90
2x Hammond 125ESE $70.00

Scavenged power tranny & choke & chassis, diode rectifier...

Various other parts (resistors & caps) ~$50

Hey presto! cheap and choice. And about 8W, you can run the sovtek 2a3/6B4 at 30W dissipation quite happily. I can't find my favourite 2a3 schematic at the moment, but there are a lot around.

You don't need to spend thousands to build something good.
