Question 12B4 Equivalents?

Are there any 12B4(A) equivalents or close substitutes among the European tubes? Looked at the usual on-line references but none are listed... Hard to believe that this is a unique design

Thanks!

Really? At the first glance there seem to be more differences than similarities

In the US, triodes (such as 12B4) were used for TV vertical deflection. In Europe, pentodes were the norm for TV vertical deflection, hence no European equivalent.

Tube-lover is right. Tell us what are you looking for. A direct replacement or just single triode for particular purposes.

Thanks for the replies!

I'm contemplating using 12B4 in the output position of an Aikido pre. Required params are low internal resistance and good anode current - in this respect 6S19P and other small regulators will fit, as well as 5687, 6N6P, 6N30P.

Based on the prev. discussions here it seems that some 12B4 incarnations might be somewhat problematic, hence the desire to expand the base for the selection.
