Hey,
I'm looking for oversized 9 pin sockets for an old console amp. The openings are 1" diameter and the spacing of the mounting holes are 1 5/16". The existing sockets are wafer type. The size of the existing openings preclude the use of standard sockets with 1 1/8" spaced mounting holes. These sockets are for 12ax7 and 6bq5 tubes. I've already checked several online suppliers and eBay. If there aren't suitable replacments available then I may plug the existing holes and put in the standard sockets. However this is a good deal of extra work, I'd prefer to find sockets that will work with the chassis as it is if possible. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. -Eric |

Bottlehead sells some "hole shrinkers" that may or may not work- i'm not sure of the exact dimensions but you could email them.
