Hi.
I've just found few NOS ECC83 from Haltron, Trigon and Ultron that I'm going to use with my Egnater M4 modular Pre-Amp. Do you have some information, or the expected qualities about those brands? The only thing I've found is that the Haltron ECC83 sells for €33,70 at http://www.drtube.com/tubeshop.htm and I've bought 6 unit for €12 each BTW: I've got the opportunity to buy NOS ECC83 from the manufacturer RTF (€28,00 each) but I've found no information about it. Do you think it's worth to buy them? Cheers! Manuel |

Haltron, etc were relabelers - you never know what you could get. I have a pair of Haltron C3ms that look to be Telefunken (but probably Siemens)... but I've also seen Japanese tubes (nothing wrong with those either) stuck in Haltron boxes.

I've just discarted one of the Haltron's because there was noise when I move the gain pot. First I thought It was a faulty pot, but the noise has gone after replacing the tube. |
