Advice wanted on ebay SET amps

I'm looking to purchase a SET amp, and had originally planned on ordering a Decware model from the US (I am in Australia). Then I noticed this seller on ebay from Australia selling his own diy SET amps.

I'm hoping someone here can offer some opinions on his amps based on the information he has provided (see links below).

Are they worth taking a plunge on?

If you're going to spend that much coin, it would be wise to hear them for yourself first I believe.

Hello,

I am a complete newbie, but I have spotted a couple of things that don't add up:

'the transformers are rated at 200w' - Yes, as power transformers, but not as SE OPT. Do they have an air gap, even?

'The power is a whole 10w' - Marketing- a 10w amp will sell bettwe than a 6 or 7 watt amp, but will be no bettwer with appropriate speakers. Also, the 300B will be driven much harder here.

EDIT: As Geek said- audition them before you buy. The seller has a no returns policy- if you don't like it, you may just be buying a kit of parts for a DIY amp.

AU$2000.00 seems very cheap for a 300B amp. Thats €1200.00 or £800.00 stirling.

Looks like a good buy to me.
