KT90 is made according to David Manley needs,in time when Mr. Bukumira was (I think) technical director in EI RC; also in that time, or little later, Mr. Bukumira Jr. was member of engineering stuff.
seems to me that Manley wasn't TV factory ?  comparing with EL(PL)5x9 tubes is just because of fact that some tooling and parts originally for them is used also for KT90 btw,hello for fellow Rodent
