Where is the best place to look for a suitable LT supply transformer 10-15V with 0.5 - 3 Amps capacity.

There must be millions of gadgets thrown away in the trash everyday, so why pay for this...

Maybe older, smaller transistor amps can be slayered as an organ donor?


Other electrical appliances come to mind?

Maybe an old battery charger?
Some old printers used big linear supplies.

Cool, battery chargers I have, I'll check one for my old powertools, where there is no more power in the tool...
How old do you recon the printers have to be, before the mid nineties or so? thx

Old printer power supplies... I get them for $1 at thrift stores. They range from 1-4 dozen volts from 2-5 amps or more depending on how beastly the printer is.

Also, old computer speaker subwoofer power supplies.
