Default Mc C-22 Ce

Hello,
Do any one have the McIntosh C-22 Com. Ed. preamplifier schematic? I need it to check a trouble with the left channel with noise sustained noise while the other one is quiet....

I'm also an Ex-owner of Mcintosh C22 CE. This pre-amp is pretty reliable. I guess the problem probably comes from the volume tuner or tube. Good luck.

It's a constant low poping noise, looks like some resistor or capacitor....still hunting the source. Thank you. It's a pity it happen to both amplifier, my MC275CE also has problem with a output tube with red plate! Only one kt88, so, I changed the tube and problem still persist, I suspect the bias circuit. My system is on holiday........

Tracked the noisy problem is from a 11K resistor R43 to ground in the balance output circuit. It measures over 18K. So, one problem is fixed.

Very likely a leaky coupling capacitor to the grid of the tube. To test it either just replace it or, with the amplifier off, unsolder the capacitor lead going to the grid. Then with the amplifier on, use your meter to look for any B+ an the floating cap lead. If so, replace it. Better yet, replace them both.
