I first ran into Nixie tube clock at Hans Summer website. Was some years ago. It is a fun project, even for us non-tube people. Of course people that have knowledge of Tube DIY has a great advantage, to build such a clock. They are decorative and different. Imagine in a dark room! There are several website, where people can send in pictures of their Nixie Clock ... in online Gallery. Regards lineup Here is Hans Summer website: Quote:

One of my first thoughts when I saw those Nixie tubes was that they would look great as CD player displays. Then I thought about all the work and forgot about it.

Hi!
Nice project. Those nixies look nice in use, digits jumping back and forth. A former working college to me once build a digital clock using only relays of various types, clock genarator excluded. Quote:

My first thought was that this is beautiful.
My second thought was that this is a waste of good audio tubes My third thought was that with an afternoon's worth of re-wiring, this could be a massively parallel output-transformerless amp. My last thought was that this is beautiful.
