I spotted a single ended otl that I don`t quite understand.
The circuite uses a 20 ohm resistor,1mh choke and a 600 mh choke in seriese for the cathode load. Ok the 20 ohm resistor is to supply the voltage for the grid and most of the signal is developed across the 600mh choke. What is the 1mh choke there for ? Could it be that a 1mh air core choke is being used to filter any hi frequency distortion from the 600mh iron core? choke. |

Hi.
I recently started a thread about this circuit. OTL SE - Help Wanted with Idea I too wondered about the strange arrangement in the cathode. The circuit apparently works !!! whatever it's for. Andy |
