This test report is so old that I would not put too much stock in what they are saying. There are many new versions that did not exist in 1998 so they are not mentioned. Also I assume they sell tubes so this makes me even less comfortable. Seems like a conflict of interest. A better source for this sort of information would be back issues of VTV. (Vacuum Tube Valley) Again however many newer production tubes haven't been tested due to the time of publication. And their shop also sells tubes, although not principally targeted at guitar amp owners.
