I am putting together a line stage with the PS in s separate chassis. The box I have for the PS is small, about 6" across, an in lining the components across the back (AC inlet, fuse, switch, and DC outlet) the DC outlet is rather close to the others. The whole point of the second chassis is to eliminate AC induced noise -- is this something that is likely to be too close, or should I be fine here. I could, for instance, move the DC outlet to the front, but this would make for some awkward wiring I think. Thoughts?

Are you going to be running AC through the umbilical to the main chassis for AC heating? If not I think you will be fine. You could use some braided copper tubing for shielding and of course cross wires carrying DC at 90 degrees to wires carrying AC but other than that I wouldn't worry too much about it. I did something similar using Hammond 7.5" square aluminum boxes. It worked well for me. Good luck.
