Default RADIO GAGA II

Hi,

This thread goes a long way to show how much misconceptions are out there.

One company I remember making tube amps for cars was "Milbert".
These used a DC/DC converter to use the 12VDC from the battery to higher voltages suitable for tubes.

Dunno whether they are still around though.

My wet dream for the car has always been a real tubes stereo radio.
I'm still dreaming to this day.Guess i have to look a bit harder.

Cheers,

Finally John,

You have managed to make a joke I did not understand ;-)

So please explain, or would that spoil it for you?

Cheers,
Bas

Just forget the first line of my last reply, ok? That's what u get when trying to be nice to a guy for a reply....using some wrong words....

I'll do the amps one day. I gotta listen to some tube stuff. The problem is output transformers. so darn expensive here!
Santa won't be very happy with u guys, especially John...

Bye!
