Default Old Tube Amp Servicer In Nj???

I have an old Heathkit amp that was given to me by my father in law...except when we powered it up, the rectifier went out. I have heard that there could be several reasons for this happening although I am not confident enough to explore them.

Does anyone know of a shop or individual that could have a look-see in NJ??????

Thanks,
Dominick

Perhaps Andy Fuchs of former GSI fame (tube hifi) might be able to help. His current company is http://www.fuchsaudiotechnology.com/# - he might at the least be able to make a recommendation for a tech somewhere in NJ.. His current gig is making custom tube based guitar amplifiers.

Default Fixed !

Dom was nice enough to drive to the shop, I had it fixed and him on his way in less than an hour. Changed a few tubes, play tested it, and he's good to go.

Although I am busy with running our manufacturing business, I don't mind tube related audio service work. No dogs (lol). Dynaco, Fisher, Scott, etc.

Andy,

A special thanks from me and I have already made reccomendations about your company.

Hopefully, I will be asking for help again soon so that I might be able to enjoy stereo sound.

BTW,
The one Martin Logan that is powered by the tube amp is awesome. I am now going to follow yet another audio passion untill I reach financial destruction!

Its all your fault Andy!

kevinkr-You are responsible too...Thanks for the reccomendation!
