I made a 200W tube amp!

i made this tube amp for a bass player. he asked me if could so... i said the price and done it

it sounds very good and its to loud!

4 sovtec kt88's.

later i might put an foto of the inside.

the OT its wrong. i'm awaiting for the right one to arrive...

We would like you to share the schematics

And, what about those Sovtek KT88? Do they resist such stress and high voltage? Any signs of plate glowing or screen grids flashing?

these sovtek are good... no redplating good on microfonics ( or bad :P they dont do many

) high voltage and high stress are no problem to them yet :P that OT was not right like i said. i'd connect it to an test OT that i have. after manny hours o sense no problems. but the bias is low...

when i get that right OT i'll come up with news.

by schematics... the power is similar but not alike an hiwatt. the power supply is very alike an hiwat.

the preamp is a secret :P

i made it with help from programs and comon knowledge fro AX84 and this forum. the tube amp book has helped there. and some more things here and there...

the tone stack is similar to an hiwatt either. but is changed to get better response to the mid bass and 'mider' treble.

i din't have a dummy load that suits this amp. but i now have :P 16 ohm 3000W one :P

and its very hard to be near the speaker box when its near the maximum.

the assembly of the amp its like an hiwatt either... ( they are good... i can't help it. i got to make they do... )

is easy to fix. or change. or see.

i'll post fotos from the inside of it :P

schematics i still need to make them on the PC cos on paper and mind wont work good for posting. some changes that i have made are not on paper yet.

sovtek tubes are good.

6L6GC from sovtek had never redplate on a fender bassman 135 that i have retubed and recaped and rebias.

and they have uze... once a week or so... after 3 year on stages and still sound great.
