hi there,
Pardon for me as i am a noob. i wish to get more info and advice to build an power amp link up my AR 18 and drive by my dad's SAE mark M pre amp. it should be able to power an AR 3a speaker too as you know 3a is well known for current hungry. i conside the Dynaco st 70( hearing on a lot of bad review, drop the idea) and right now in a muddle. could anyone pse give some advice and schematic too? thank you . |

IMO, you need an amp that uses PP KT88s (6550s) as the "finals". Scan the archives here and over at AA to get some ideas.
What sort of budget do you have? If funds are LIMITED, making something decent will be DIFFICULT, as quality "iron" for this type of project is costly.
