Paint steel chassis with the "aluminum paint" used on wire fence?

I am thinking about painting my steel chassis with the paint that people usually use to paint their wire fense, to give it an aluminum look. Is it a good idea? How does it resist heat? Does it look good? Your comments please.

Don't know about that. Do you know about "hammertone" paints? They have an interesting and old-timey look to them.

I've used something called 'Appliance Epoxy' on power transformers. It is a spray paint I found at the local home store. It seems very heat resistant, comes in several metallic colors and seems to always go on smooth. Another big plus is that it dries in about 3 minutes!
