hi, I have constructed an EL34 SET amp, and I want to run in it in pentode mode, however I have a B+ of close to 430v, which is right around the voltage limit for G2, will it be safe to apply 430v across the G2 on an El34? or will the tube arc and fry

I have been running 430 volts with no problems using JJ or Shuguang (Valve Art) tubes.
I had a Svetlana exhibit a bad blue glow and excessive current though. I believe that these tubes (2 out of 4) were bad from day one!
