Im looking for transformers for a 6G15 reverb unit. At the moment im looking at antique electronic supply and weber vst products (Webervst is slightly cheaper). Wondering has anyone used these parts? I tried a new output in my 5F2 that was a cheap "original spec" replacement and it stank, im sticking with a hammond 125ESE. Im not fussed with using original spec transformers or anything I just want it to sound good. Will a cheap output cut it or would a hammond or something do a better job? (wouldn't it be nice to sound test output transformers before purchase)...
